Bikes don’t belong on the sidewalk and they are only a nuisance on the road. Finally cyclist will have a home.

Asphalt and limestone-covered trails will be completed in North Kildonan, Charleswood, St. Vital, Fort Garry and Fort Rouge along with bike lanes downtown and “bike corridors” (whatever those are) on inner-city streets.

The number one thing preventing me from using cycling as a mode of transportation has been the safety issue of having to ride on the road. I’m glad the city finally understands that we need to help encourage more green forms of transportation.

Grab your car and drive over to the corner of Molson and Keenlyside at East Kildonan and what do you see?!? A White Castle in Winnipeg!!!!!!

But don’t get too excited, it turns out that this is just a set for a movie filming in Winnipeg (Nope, not Harold and Kumar 3 either). The restaurant that used to be there, Rally’s Restaurant, will be closed temporarily and will reopen once filming is done. Lets hope they reopen still as White Castle :)

Its still worth while for anyone who wants to check it out and take pictures infront of it! For the rest of us, theres those frozen microwavable White Castle burgers you can find at Walmart Grand Forks.

The Winnipeg Free Press reports a Winnipeg couple noticing an unauthorized debit of $400 from their bank account. They suspect that a shop at St. Boniface was where their information was stolen then sold to an outside province.

Debit Scams are hitting the city really hard and the best way to protect yourself from falling a victim to these scams is to have knowledge on how they work.

There are reports filling in of gas hitting a new record of $1.29 per litre!! So fill up now while you can still find any $1.25 prices!!

UPDATE: It’s TRUE! Driving by many gas stations today I’ve noticed that ALL prices have now been adjusted to $1.29!!! EEK!!

It’s construction season again and Winnipeg is stepping up protection for our street workers.

The city will now be installing Photo enforced vehicles to catch motorist that speed across construction zones. So keep your eyes open for those new speed signs in orange, some of them can be as slow as 20 km/s and can cost you A LOT of money.
