On the road to cut 2000 jobs, Air Canada has announced they will be closing flight attendant bases in Halifax, Winnipeg and making a huge cut in Vancouver. The numbers are 200 in Halifax, 145 here in Winnipeg and 300 for Vancouver. This may sound bad now, but this is just the beginning. Air Canada has stated that most of the 2000 job cuts would happen in November.

A lucky number of flight attendants might get a chance to transfer to available spots in Toronto or Montreal. That is of course if those outlets stay open come November. Gas prices hit hard here on the ground… and even harder in the air.
