I was at Sears this weekend securing myself into never ending debt by purchasing some appliances. I picked up a sweet, consumer reports best pick, LG Front Loader washing machine seen above.
After my purchase the salesman give me an application form for Manitoba Hydro for $100 credit to my hydro account. All new Energy Star rated washing machines are eligible for the credit. It may only be half of a monthly payment on my appliances, but at least it’s something.
The rebate ends march 2009. On top of washing machines, Hydro is giving $25 credits to new purchases of Energy Star freezers. For more information or an application form, check out Manitoba Hydro’s website.

w got one about 2 months ago and that thing is just quiet, stable and VERY roomy, comes with a plastic mesh tray you can put in if you want to dry delicate things laid out without the tumbler interfering.
