Winnipeg Police Take Camera, Memory Card Missing Or Never Existed?

Written By Lyndon

Winnipeg resident, Paul St. Laurent, took pictures of a man being dropped by police with a stun gun. He apparently took a lot of shots. So many, in fact, that the police felt the need to detain him for a short period and confiscate his camera.

Paul now claims that the camera was returned minus one memory card (which means no pictures). Const. Jason Michalyshen says otherwise. “He was detained for a period of time along with some equipment that he may have had with him. He left with that equipment,”. What this really means is that he didn’t have a memory card in it the whole time and was taking all those pictures for nothing. That had to be it, right? Silly Paul.

That was actually one of my freelancers, who was using a 2GB card, which is still missing.
