The Winnipeg Free Press will be back on the streets, doorsteps, and newsstands everywhere on Thursday. The unionize employees reached an agreement on Tuesday night after a 16 day strike.
Employees accepted a wage increases of two per cent annually for the next five years. The increase raises the annual wage of a senior reporter to $72,000 immediately and to $77,000 by the end of the contract. That is $72,000 more than an AccessWinnipeg senior reporter
Free Press carriers will also get a two percent increase.
