110 Km/h Speed Limit Hike Effective July 1

Written By Ken

A reminder that the 110 km/h speed limit hike on some Manitoba highways will be effective on July 1, 2009 (Canada Day)

Highways that will now have 110 km/h signs include:

* The Trans-Canada from the Saskatchewan border to Virden
* Highway 75 from the U.S. border at Emerson to St. Jean Baptiste

Awesome! Getting to Grand Forks for some shopping just got a little faster. A reminder that just because you can drive faster on these highways, all other highways are still 100 km/h. Please drive safe Winnipeg!

So, MPI is telling us to slow down, the Mb Gov’t
is letting us speed up, don’t these groups talk to each other?

Maybe we are suppose to slow down in the city and speed up on
    the highways?

I like the 110 k/hr on the highways, I’m just curious of the thoughts behind the recent ad campaign.
