Speed Traps on McGillivray

Written By MikeG

The speed limit on McGillivray between Waverly and Kenaston is down to 60 km/h while road construction takes place and the police have warned speed traps will likely be in place there. So keep your head on a swivel out there, or alternatively, don’t speed.

I just want to point out that people may feel compelled to go the normal speed later at night or whenever you don’t see any workers (the decrease in the limit is meant to protect the construction workers). Even while there are no workers present, the limit is the same and YOU CAN STILL BE TICKETED. If an actual police officer pulls you over you can face heavier fines than the radar traps issue not to mention demerits on your license so watch out.

I don’t understand why those photo rader guys stay on Kenaston. The traffic is always so bad that I can barley go 40 km/h on that road.
