GAP, Banana Republic, and Old Navy Launch Canadian Online Stores

Written By Ken | No Comments

Gap Inc. has finally launched online stores for three of their most popular brands: GAP, Old Navy, and Banana Republic.

The best part? They will also use a unified shopping cart so you can shop at all three stores online at once. For a limited time get FREE shipping on orders over $50. Since everything is being shipped from within Canada, there are no duty fees and no handling fees.

This is especially great news for Winnipeg since we still do not have a Banana Republic location in our city.

FREE RETURNS!
The main reason I hate shopping for cloths online is becuase you never really know how the fit. There are no change rooms to try them on first. The trio of Gap Inc. websites are also offering FREE RETURNS! Every order will come with a pre-paid Canada Post shipping label. If you don’t like your order, simply pack it back up in the box it came in, attach the pre-paid label and mail it out for a refund or exchange. Best idea ever.

Happy online shopping!

Complex Games Brings Air Traffic Commander To Facebook

Written By Lyndon | No Comments

The best part about not being able to keep up with my emails is finding gems like this! Air Traffic Commander is developed by Winnipeg’s Complex Games. I believe similar styled games have been released on other platforms before. This time though, not only do we have two lanes for plane micro management, it also has a helipad for what I think are blimps and… helicopters!

This beast is up on facebook and can be played by going to apps.facebook.com/airtrafficcommander/. I’m trying to load this on an IE6 browser and I’m failing pretty bad. Perhaps it is time for an upgrade.

Thanks Varinder B.! I know your father.

McDonald’s Shrek Glass Recall

Written By Trevor | No Comments

Did you buy one of the Shrek glasses during the promo at McDonald’s a couple months ago? Well, set it aside because there is a massive recall. McDonald’s has asked everyone stop using the glasses but not to throw them away. A full refund will be paid to the customer once the glasses are received.

The problem? Cadmium was found in the paint used on the glasses. This is bad because … well, cadmium is toxic.

Follow the link below to get more detail.

Take Advantage of Rogers On Demand To Watch The World Cup

Written By MikeG | No Comments

That commercial is completely unrelated to the offer from Rogers. However since the commercial where two office workers think they covertly stream the World Cup to their cubicle plays on every commercial break during games, I thought people might enjoy something different.

While their commercials might become stale, the Rogers on Demand Online service can actually be useful for World Cup die-hards. Fans can get their FIFA fix on-the-go with the Rogers on Demand Mobile application that lets users live-stream every game on their smartphone, as well as get recaps and highlights after the whistle for a one-time fee of $10. Costing $5 a month to use, the app is available on Android, BlackBerry and iPhone devices. There’s also a handful of additional apps for free or $2.99 that give you extras like game reminders and live scores and news tickers.

For more information on Rogers on Demand Online, Rogers on Demand Mobile and the Fan Frenzy app head to the Rogers on Demand website.

TRAILER: Street Fighter Legacy

Written By Ken | 1 Comment

Here are a few short teaser trailer clips from Street Fighter Legacy, an officially sanctioned Street Fighter short film. The short film was created by Joey Ansah, a true Street Fighter fan who is sick of Hollywood creating garbage versions of the franchise.

The short film will make its online debut on Thursday, May 6, 2010.
