Winnipeg Teacher Lapdance Redux

Written By Ken | 1 Comment

Just when we thought it was over and safe to go outside… another video has surfaced of the same incident involving two Winnipeg teachers performing a lap dance at a school pep rally.

The video also shows various school staff members standing around and watching the dance take place. It has posed the question to why they didn’t step in to stop it? The two teachers, who are believed to be in their 20’s, have been suspended with pay.

The video is a bit higher quality than the original that has taken the world by storm.

Two Winnipeg Teachers Perform a Lap Dance

Written By Ken | No Comments

Two Winnipeg teachers from Churchill High School are in serious heat after performing a lap dance during a dance off at a school pep rally. The incident, that happened last Wednesday, left some students giggling and laughing, and some in a state of shock. Since then, the teachers have been sent home without pay. The school division has yet to comment if suspensions will be handed out.

The video above proves how technology has grown over the last few years. If this happened 5 years ago… it would have simply been the talk of the school for a few weeks. But in the digital age we are in now, this event has spawned hundreds of photos on Facebook and the Youtube clip above that has blown this story into a media storm.

How do you feel about the teachers behaviour?

University of Winnipeg Loves Contra

Written By Ken | 2 Comments

The University of Winnipeg DCE web developers apparently LOVE Konami’s Contra.

They’ve put an easter egg (Easter Egg = Hidden Feature) on their website that gives you access to a hidden section of the site.

What’s in the hidden section you ask? We’ll you’ll have to to try it to find out!

STEPS:
1. Go to the University of Winnipeg DCE Website
2. Make sure your mouse is not in any text fields (just click on the background to make sure)
3. Press the Konami/Contra cheat code on your keyboard (Up arrow, Up arrow, Down arrow, Down arrow, Left arrow, Right arrow, Left arrow, Right arrow, B, A)

You’ll now be redirected to a hidden page on the site. Facebook also has a similar easter egg.

Shout out to our friends at the U of W DCE! You guys rock. Make sure to follow them on twitter @uwinnipegDCE.

McNally Robinson Polo Park Closed

Written By Ken | 3 Comments

McNally Robinson’s Polo Park Winnipeg location permanently closed its doors on Sunday January 3, 2010.

This was very shocking news as it seems that the location had just opened and Polo Park had done some extensive renovations to its exterior for this store (which used to be housed by Sport Chek)

The Grant Park location continues to remain open.

The Winnipeg location wasn’t the only one to get the axe, the location at the Shops at Don Mills in Toronto was also closed.

McNally Robinson filled for bankruptcy protection late December. The struggling economy and stagnant book prices made it difficult for the company to stay a float.

There is now a very large void in the heart of Polo Park Shopping Centre. What shop do you want to see occupy the space?
