McDonald’s Shrek Glass Recall

Written By Trevor | No Comments

Did you buy one of the Shrek glasses during the promo at McDonald’s a couple months ago? Well, set it aside because there is a massive recall. McDonald’s has asked everyone stop using the glasses but not to throw them away. A full refund will be paid to the customer once the glasses are received.

The problem? Cadmium was found in the paint used on the glasses. This is bad because … well, cadmium is toxic.

Follow the link below to get more detail.

Tim Horton’s Blue Bomber Donut

Written By Trevor | No Comments

I was at the Tim Horton’s on North Main yesterday (the one with Cold Stone Creamery) and I saw this awesome guy. Actually, the only reason I was looking at donuts was because I was trying to convince some kid to ask his mom for a donut in his ice cream (I figured it would be fun to watch the drama unfold afterwards).

Either way, I may need to rock one of these next time I head out for a Bomber game to show my support.

Cold Stone Creamery Opens Its First Winnipeg Location

Written By Ken | 1 Comment

Cold Stone Creamery, an American-based ice cream parlour chain, has opened its first Winnipeg location (half location). It is located at 2500 Main St. and attached to Tim Horton’s. Both stores are located in one building and is a co-branded store.

All ice cream creations are offered in three fancy named sizes: “Like It” (5 oz (140 g)), “Love It” (8 oz (230 g)), and “Gotta Have It” (12 oz (340 g)) – and I thought tall, grande, and venti was hard.

I haven’t had a chance to try their Ice Cream yet, but I’d imagine it is very similar to Marble Slab. Make sure to join their Birthday Club for a free Ice Cream on your birthday.

Thanks for the tip Gazel
