The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards were handed out over the weekend. The biggest shocker was Taylor Swift winning Album of the Year… I still think she wouldn’t be where she is today without Kanye West. He indirectly super boosted her career.
Winners:
Album Of The Year: Taylor Swift – Fearless
Record Of The Year: Kings Of Leon – Use Somebody
Song Of The Year: Beyonce – Single Ladies
Best New Artist: Zac Brown Band
Best Female Pop Vocal Performance: Beyonce – Halo
Best Male Pop Vocal Performance: Jason Mraz – Make it Mine
Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals: The Black Eyed Peas – I Got a Feeling
Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals: Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat – Lucky

And now for the performances…
My favourite of the night was Lil’ Wayne, Eminem & Drake – Drop The World/Forever. Notice how I didn’t mention Travis Barker? I still think his remixes are the most over rated tracks in the world. Don’t get me wrong, he’s one of the greatest drummers out there – but but ANY amateur drummer can run a beat over a hiphop/rap track. I don’t really see what they hype is over these so-called Travis Barker remixes.
* Note: The sound kicking in and out isn’t your Internet connection. Half of the performance was actually censored by CBS
