If you have any gamer friends, then expect them to disappear on September 14, 2010 when Halo: Reach, the highly anticipated 4th instalment of the Halo franchise, is released.

I got a chance to play and advanced copy of this game and it is simply amazing. The multiplayer co-op mode is tons of fun. The controls are a bit different in Reach, but you can always go back to ‘Recon’ mode which is the familiar Halo 3 controls we all love.

In preparation for the big Halo: Reach launch in September, EB Games has Halo 3 on as the Deal of the Week.

This week only, Halo 3 is priced at $19.99. Halo is an XBOX exclusive and is pretty much the only reason I play my 360 over the PS3.

I still believe that the Halo franchise is one of the greatest franchises of all time. If you haven’t had a chance to play Halo 3, then for $19.99 it is a STEAL!

Walmart has some great video game deals this week and the Playstation 3 exclusive Heavy Rain is one of the highlights. Walmart is selling the ‘choose your own adventure’ game for only $29.83.

Though this game doesn’t have as much replay value as Call of Duty, the various different endings will have you playing for hours and hours.

HMV is selling the XBOX 360 Arcade at just $99.99! While this seems to be the older model, the price tag alone may just make me get another one so I can play online .
