Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes for the GameCube. Loved the original MGS and this one just completely expanded on it and made it even more enjoyable than the original!

i have to go with GTA here. the open world concept broke serious ground when GTA III was released. and for those that might accuse me of not posting my reason for liking it, it’s because of the open world concept.

Super Mario Bros. because it is one of the most original, inspirational and recognizable games of an entire generation.

Metal Gear Solid (hell, even the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake), and its sequels because Snake is a badass!

I loved the original Metal Gear Solid and also Sons of Liberty but Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is the best in the series(until MGS4:Guns of The Patriots comes out on June 12). Snake Eater had great characters, improved gameplay and a compelling story!

XENOGEARS - While Metal Gear is so obviously something that holds a special place in my heart, I love it as a series and it’s entirety. I couldn’t call ONE of the games my favorites. The stories, music, games, characters, toys/propaganda… everything released under KojiPro, licensed as a Metal Gear product or derivative of, is something we should accept as true, and understand that in it’s shape, is utterly perfect. Therefore, all Metal Gear titles are perfect.
ANYWAY, Xenogears rocks cuz it’s story was like, totally sweet and stuff.

    — no, none of the editors are entering, we’re just sharing!

I’d have to say my most favorite game of all time was Kriss Kross: Make my Video for Sega CD. It was a revolutionary game that incorporated a new generation of Hip Hop icons, with bleeding edge video game technology. Finally, a game that put us all where we always dreamed to be; in the directors seat of a music video who’s main stars wore backwards clothes, had mini dreds, and rapped about meaningful and relevant rhetoric, like missing the bus and never missing the bus again, warming up things, and the verb JUMP. Clearly a revolutionary game that will forever go down in history as one of the greats.

As for the games that I dislike the most, I would have to say the whole Metal Gear series. What a piece of garbage. The Metal Gear series encapsulates all that is wrong with not only the American Society, but society in general. It propagates an idealogical view of war being awesome, of Government conspiracies running rampant amongst the general populace, breeding fear and paranoia. It takes half truths and mixes it with lies, and tries to play it off as real truth. But at its core, is the worst ideal of all. That its ok to spy on half naked women while they are imprisoned in a top secret military holding cell while you are on a mission to find some LARPA CHIEF. This is not how we were brought up. This is not how our society should function. Once your eyes have been opened, and you embrace the Kriss Kross way of life, you will be much happier, albeit peeing will become much more difficult, but in the end, isnt that what life is all about?

Let’s see here. After a lot of thought. I would have to say Final Fantasy VI, (or III when it came out here in North America), would have to be considered as my favourite game so far. The reason being that even in our world now, with all the advance graphics, and all the technology at our finger tips. Even console systems that have more processing power than needed for most games that have been developed for it. A game that was made for a 16-bit system was all about the story. A story that developed every character that the user had a chance to control, which by the way was an amazing amount of characters. Bringing them that much closer to the game and staying true to the term Role Playing Game.

Visually advanced for its time as well as complimented by a soundtrack that was produced by an amazing game composer. I’d say this game is one of my favourites so far, and will always be revered in my opinion. For more information, and to see why I like it so much check out the retrospective part that was dedicated to this Final Fantasy Roman Numeral below.

Chrono Trigger on the SNES, the best cast of characters in any RPG, even better than Final Fantasy 3, with an awesome soundtrack and story. I stil fire up ZSNES and waste endless hours on this thing.

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is the best game of all times. There is nothing about the game that is not extraordinary. The music, game play, graphics, and event the characters. I have play this game over and over again and still not board of it.
