I love Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles because it has all of CLAMP’s best work put together. Just when you thought Card Captor Sakura or X/1999 was ending, they all pop up in cameos in that anime! Plus, it’s conjoined with XxxHolic! Been following this anime since I was 10 years old. I’m 18 now. Haha… and it’s still not over.

One Piece. This anime by Shoen Jump is not as big as Bleach or Naruto. But i like this anime better than both. One piece is an anime tell the story of the pirate life, each individual has its own unique story. The anime is full of drama, action, and comedy to keep viewers entertained. They’ll be releasing episode 408 this week, and he 10th movie is out in japan.

Trigun. This anime stars Vash the Stampede and aired in 1998. Vash saves lives using non lethal force, and has a bounty on his head for 60,000,000,000. This anime combines comedy and action all in one. Trigun reels you in as a hilarious, action-packed full of wit with a pretty clever premise behind it. As the episodes progress, complex mysteries begin to unfold and you always find youself dying to find out what’s next when you’re not laughing your head off or marveling at the action scenes. A great solid storyline and loveable characters that grow on you make Trigun great. A movie is slated in 2009.

Oh dear… I’m not ashamed to admit it is Sailor Moon. No other anime created a character solely for me so that I may prance around in a tuxedo, cape and top hat throwing roses at people whilst playing castanets for dramatic entry.

I can’t wait until the live action Avatar movie comes out, I saw the trailer and it looks so nice. Way better looking then the Dragonball movie that came out a while back. Avatar is one of my favorite animie shows.

The first-ever anime I ever watched was Akira, and although i’m still a big fan of it, i’d have to say Neon Genesis Evangelion is still my all time favourite.

I fell in love with anime after following this series. I remember renting the video tapes from Jumbo Video long before internet “acquisition” was available. I rented the entire series during one summer. And now that they are remaking the series and re-releasing them as new movies it’s rekindled my interest in the series.

Over the years, I’ve collected some of the old 7″ action figures and some of the new revoltech action figures, along with many of the small figurines.

besides…. who doesn’t love an anime with giant robots and giant weapons??

I’ve watched many series from evangelion, to tri gun, gundam, bleach, naruto, GTO… But I’m a sucker for one of my favorites of all time Dragonball Z. I remember as a kid seeing Goku go Super Saiyan for the first time. But I was all over the place back then buying whatever bootleg VHS I could find. They never had them in order. Ha ha.

Straight up , BECK: The Mongolian Chop Squad.

    By far . why ?

because music is such a HUGE aspect of my life , whether im playing guitar with the band , or ripping it on the floor while im bboying . no matter what music has always been an aspect of my life .

with beck . it really inspired me to pick up my guitar and just play . after years being on and off , just wanting to start playing made things so much more chill .

the storylines great , its like theres alotta thing you could probably relate to and see from the real world . all the songs had such a huge impact on me , beck does that to you haha (: the songs stick to your mind like glue and whether you notice it or not you’d probably find yourself one way or another singing one of the songs .

honestly for this anime i couldnt stop watching it till the end . but even at the end i just wanted more and more .. but it was sad that it had to end there . the characters and everyones own personalities , you felt it . you felt all their emotions ..
kinda like you kinda wish they coulda been real people yno ?

so with that being said , by far beck has been my FAVORITE anime . it totally bumped up my inspiration with music, guitar and dance .

music has always been something huge in my life .

im glad they made this anime about it .

INUYASHA!! Aside from all my wall scrolls being of Inuyasha, it’s my favorite because of how long it is. So many mangas that I’ve read have ended way too soon, but Inuyasha has over 500 chapters! I understand why they had to stop making the cartoon anime, but now I can associate those same voices to the rest of the manga. The ending’s crazy cool and I’m working on it again as we speak:D

growing up one of my favorite shows to watch was samurai pizza cats. c’mon, samurais + pizza + cats = AWESOME! especially when they got the upgraded bird suits the enabled them to fly, the entire saga leading to that was the best!

“One Piece” is easily my favorite anime and with over 400 episodes, and 9 movies still going strong i’m sure its other peoples aswell. It has great characters, super well written story arcs and amazing fight scenes. It blends comedy, action, and drama perfectly. Plus who doesnt love the idea of an anime take on the whole Pirate thing? lol.

“Yakitate Japan!” I have enjoyed the culinary industry, which this anime showcases ja-pan, which is about bread. Its basically a boy who grows up to learn how to bake bread. He has a gift called “solar hands” which help him ferment the bread the fastest throughout a huge competition within the series. I really think this is one of my favourite animes because it is about food, unique characters and very funny!

I love anime, and cartoons, so it’s hard to pick a “favorite”
But, one of fav’s by far “Sukisho”
Full title, Suki na Mono wa Suki Dakara Shouganai, which means “I like what I like it can’t be helped”..
It is a little off the normal track of the YTV aired animes.
There is no english version available, only sub titled. It is an all boy cast. It is a major love story, it is about forgiveness, it is about friendship, it is about betrayal, there is even a touch of goverment paranoia in there for yah ;) .

I love it because it’s not your traditional anime, it does throw you tons of curve balls. At times it is incredibly sad, at times sexy, and at other times laugh out loud funny. Put all together it becomes an anime series any mature adult can enjoy!
    ^_^ Woot!
Inu yasha is definatly second !

okay I have been reading everyone else’s comments and determined this- All anime’s have great humor, great storyline, and great characters. Its why they are our favourites! So, to add to my now generic comment…
I love sukisho because of the all male characters. It deals with guys loving each other in a setting where although at first it’s taboo, they grow to accept it in their life. It doesn’t vilify it, or treat it like a disease, or anything like that. This series also helped one of my friends be himself, and though it hasnt worked out perfectly like in the series, its working out.

Naruto is my favorite anime because almost every episode is so surprising… all the twists and turns in the fights and how everybody uses their powers so strategically is so awesome… ya know, instead of just beating every bad guy with a spirit bomb?? I do hate how the american version just butchered the series and made it so kiddie tho…

i also got hooked on chobits… and i’m actually gonna start watching bleach tonight… see what all the hype’s about

my favorite anime movie will always and forever be Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture =)

It a tossup for me between Death Note and Monster. Both are smartly written mature shows that are up there with HBO/Showtime dramas like Dexter, imho. Death Note is a great psychological cat and mouse thriller and Monster is a great cross-country thriller/mystery as well. Both are not your typical giant robot/scifi/fantasy/romance anime which is why they really stand out for me.

I so many it’s hard to choose, but the first to come to mind is Soul Eater.

Soul Eater is…quirky I think is the best word for it. It’s action most of the time, but the humor in it is high quality and some serious bits in there for people who are into that. It finds a great balance for the above mentioned.

The animation is top-notch, it doesn’t gradually degrade as most other anime. They chose great music, it fits so well with anime. Story and concept are a little odd, but that’s another thing I like about it.

To really understand you need to see it for yourself ^_^

I’ve given alot of thought to this, and my favourite anime of all time would have to be Soul Eater.

Honestly, there isn’t anything sbout the anime that I disliked. The characters all had different and interesting personalities, and they were all defined differently, yet they had things in common.

There is alot of humor in Soul Eater, and it fit in well with the anime! The humor and jokes were not out of place, and they were never re-used (Except for Death the Kid and his love of symmetry, but that never got old! xD) to the point of exhaustion.

The action fights in Soul Eater are pulse-pounding moments, and just a thrill to watch! It’s not like Bleach’s 204832905-episode long fights. They get done pretty quickly (without the 10-minutes of re-caps every episode), but not as fast to be disappointed with.

The animation is AMAZING!!! It’s different from so many anime’s out there, and as chartiershado121 above me mentioned; “it doesn’t gradually degrade as most other anime.”

The music they created for this show fits in incredibly well with the characters and scenes. The creators’ choice of opening and ending songs were great, and it had great animation to go along with it. I never got tired of watching them! The 2 OST’s created for this show are some of the best one’s that I’ve heard.

The anime’s story is absolutely fantastic. It’s original, unlike anything I’ve seen previously.

All in all, words cannot really describe my feelings about this anime, and all the things about it. If anyone asked me what anime they should watch, Soul Eater would be the first thing coming out of my mouth. If there are people reading this who have not already seen Soul Eater, it’s everywhere online, and soon FUNimation is going to make an english dub of it later on this year~!

InuYasha. Two things come to mind, it’s humor and the way Kagome told poor InuYasha to SIT! Other then that, it was a fun show to watch. But what about DragonBall Z, Pokemon or Death Note……???

Love InuYasha, DragonBallZ, Pokemon, and Death Note! All awesome! Though pokemon was only good for the first 151 pokemon. After that, it was stupid. Like, what, they just couldn’t see these pokemon, ever? They just appeared out of nowhere?

Fighting Spirit. It was amazing and most people I talk to always shun it when I tell them it is a boxing anime. However the manga has been going on forever and they rebooted the series this year. They are staying true to the manga and it keeps the charm that makes it great. It seems to span a wide range from being funny to intense. If anyone hasn’t seen it I would highly recommend watching it.

Code Geass, another one of CLAMP’s excellent pieces of work as they designed the characters giving them a unique look, also with the mecha’s as well. The storyline is very thick I find and kept me interested and I still love it. I also loved how it’s not all fighting all the time, they’ll add some comedy here and there making it enjoyable. Overall that it why I think it’s a great anime and my favorite. I reccomend Code Geass to anyone who needs a new anime to watch.

My faovirte would have to be Kurotshituji/Black Butler. It’s a very good anime, more of the horror/mystery genre. It has great character designs, a good story and the usual comedy tossed in, that makes every anime great. The fight scenes are somewhat bloody and the mysteries are based off real life incidents in England, which makes it quite interesting, since this is an anime that does not take place in Japan. And that is why it is my favorite.

Toradora – Cuz unrequited love tastes so sweet.
Gurren Lagann – Sets inner loins ablaze, (also very expensive episodes).
Ookiku Furikabutte – Baseball turns strangers into brothers, fighting for the ultimate goal.. KOSHIEN.. and that makes me feel good.

Grave of the Fireflies would have to be my favorite animated movie. I loved that it looked at WWII from the perspective of Japanese civilians along with all the hardships they had to deal with. In a war the innocence of childhood, tends to take a beating. The relationship between the brother and sister was strong, devoted, loving and would last beyond this earthly life. When one loves that deeply there is always a risk that loss of that love can be a burden to large to bear and for me as a viewer, even more unbearably heartbreaking to watch. This movie reached in and drew out such raw emotion. I could watch it on continuous loop and when the story ends, I will be as emotional as I was the first time I saw it. Just wonderful…

Alright trying this for the 3rd time, (I don’t know why it wont let me post -.-, but good thing I saved what I was writing :3)
      But heeeeeeeyyy no wai~!
My all time favorite anime out there has to be the ‘Gundam’ series. :D
I mean, who doesn’t like giant piloted war machines/robots fighting each other with beam sabers and uh, lazer guns.
Besides that, it has 15+ TV series/OVA’s featuring alternative universes, and timelines, (since April 1979) its just a classic series such as Transformers and Star Wars.
Heck it’s a Japanese icon, among the popular Hello Kitty too.
And im absolutely crazy about the replica model kits you buy and assemble (and in my case, attempt to create a stop-motion for it over the summer, so I could get closer to bringing them to life. >_.<#)
